My very first product review: Dr S Wong's Bioderm Ointment

I have been using this product maybe a year now for my acne. It is not daily but, I use it often. Most especially when new pimples arrive. It has sulfur in it that is said to dry pimples fast. Well, this product can minimize your pimple overnight! but the appearance of the pimple will not be invisible as soon as overnight. You need to use it on maybe 3-4 consecutive days before seeing the real effect.
How I use it:
1. I wash my face with my facial cleanser and pat dry it.
2. I apply Moisturizer on my face.
3. I apply Bioderm Ointment on new pimples or on the pimples that haven't completely dried out.
4. I leave it there and sleep.
5. Sometimes, I use it after taking a bath and leaving it there on my face and wipe it with wet tissue afterwards.
How often do I use it: once. every night (or every time I have new pimples)
What I like about this product:
- it has sulfur in it that can dry out pimples fast
- it can minimize the appearance of pimples
- it can dry out pimples as fast as 2 days of continuous use
- it is affordable (a tube may cost 30php and above)
- easy to find in markets (this product is available in every Mercury Drugs Store)
- it stings and itches meaning it really affects the bacteria inside the pimples
What I don't like about this product:
- It leaves white marks when applied. You will look like a dalmatian with white spots on your face when you apply it on your pimples (haha)
- A not so nice smell of it. Maybe because of its sulfur content
- This product cannot reduce the redness of the pimples perfectly
- Hard to wash it off. When you wash your face after using this, you will be having a hard time removing the ointment on your pimples. So goodluck XD I recommend you to wipe it off with wipes or with wet tissue then wash it afterwards with soap.
Overall, my product ratings for it when it comes to acne (or pimples) is: 8/10
i actually using bioderm ointment to all skin problems,specially to my son who has skin asthma,,and its really effective..and now im using this for my pimples..first i washed my face with sulfur soap,then apply ponds detox cream,last is bioderm ointment on my pimples.no toner at all.coz I don't like putting so much on my face coz I have a sensitive skin......and I can see that my pimples start to fade and it lessen the itchy feeling on my face...thanks sulfur soap, ponds and bioderm ointment
ReplyDeleteWow that is nice :) Yes it is really effective on any skin problems, my father also has itchy feet and I told him to try this ointment and it worked for him! I really love bioderm ointment because aside from being cheap, it is effective too!

DeleteThis is my only skincare in college. I use this around my nose area where there's blackheads and obvious pores. This is very effective. I will go back to this soon! :)

ReplyDeletei think you better use vitamin C and/or niacinamide to treat pimple marks. some says it's wrong to use both vitamin c and niacinamide at the same time, but dont worry, the combination can lead to a wealth of skin benefits. you can read more on paulaschoice website. i am using The Ordinary Niacinamide ryt now and will add vit c to my skin care routine in the near future
